Twilight, New Moon Fans Celebrate St. Marcus Day for Robert Pattinson & Edward Cullen

Hundreds of Twilight and New Moon movie and novel fans were seen wearing red throughout the day across the country. The reason was to celebrate Saint Marcus Day. In the book New Moon by Stephenie Meyer, March 19th holds a lot of importance. The book mentions that on this day hundreds, thousands of Italian gathered the city of Volterra clad in red celebrating Saint Marcus day. Saint Marcus, was a powerful character who vacated the city from vampires and saved thousands of lives.

New Moon is the sequel of the 2008 blockbuster film Twilight. The film will mostly feature same star cast as Twilight. Robert Pattinson will play the role of Edward Cullin, the very charming vampire. In the sequel, New Moon, the red-cloaked natives stands in the way of Bella Swan and Alice Cullen trying to reach Edward Cullen. They try to put a halt to his attempt of self-sacrifice in the name of love.

Many are already saying that this would be the most throbbing action packed scene in the series. Many Twilight and New Moon readers were seen in red to express that they remember and celebrate even this small, but important, detail of the book.
